The Bitsy Bug

First and foremost the Strike King Bitsy Bug has bailed me out more times than I can remember. It dates back before the Bitsy Bug when I made small 1/4-ounce jig with hand tied the rubber on. When I got sponsored by Strike King I told them we need a finesse jig and they worked on it and finally came out with the Bitsy Bug. The Bitsy Bug produces for me under any circumstances.

At Toledo Bend I used the Bitsy Bug to stay in the running for the tournament and I really thought I could win. Everybody was catching bass off of grassbeds throwing big spinnerbaits and Rattle Traps.

The last day of practice I ran to the other side of the lake from where everyone else was fishing. When I pulled into this bay there were a lot of boat docks. I began to throw the Bitsy Bug and with one 35 minute pass I caught 5 fish. The first day of the tournament after I fished the grass beds I went to the boat docks and ended up with 21-pounds of fish exclusively with the Bitsy Bug. I was using the 1/4 ounce green/crawfish with a green pumpkin trailer.
