Strike King's Pro-Team Journal Re-air schedule

Team Strike King has strong showing at
Inaugural Bass Master Elite 50 event on lake Dardanelle
in Arkansas
 The
seven members of Team Strike King who have qualified
for the Elite 50's this season showed up last week
at Lake Dardanelle and were flat catching them. Mark
Davis, Shaw Grigsby and Kevin VanDam all mentioned
have pretty decent practices. Come tournament time
though the fishing got a little tougher. The small
fish were cooperating but not the big boys.
Team Strike King's top finisher was that of Kevin VanDam finishing in 8th after
making the cut to fish the top 12 hole format while the remainder of the field,
places 13 and higher had an extra day to improve their position, but no higher
than 13th by fishing the rest of the lake. This is a new format for BASS and
so far so good.
Shaw Grigsby made the most of the extra day to fish by making a big jump on the
final day as he moved from 16th place to 13th overall with a big sack of just
over 19 pounds. Shaw used a combination of Strike King Denny Brauer jigs, Strike
King Flippin' Tubes and the new 3X ZTOO soft jerk bait to improve his catch throughout
the day.
Other notables for Team Strike King were 16th place finisher George Cochran,
17th place finisher Denny Brauer and Chad Brauer finishing in 26th place. The
next stop on the Elite 50 Tour will be on the Columbus Pool of the Tombigbee
Waterway starting on May 19th. Good luck Guys!!!
