DAVIS WINS!!!!!!!!!
 Columbus,
Mississippi - Mark Davis continues his dominance this
year on the B.A.S.S. tour with his second win of the
year and his first Elite 50 win. Leading since day
one of the event, Mark used several lures to accomplish
leading throughout all four days, He began the first
two days with a Strike King Spit N' King early on some
schooling fish but once he made the cut his water got
limited. B.A.S.S. uses a hole-format system for the
last two days of the Elite 50 series and this water
had been off-limits through out the first two days.
Mark Flipped and Pitched a Strike King Flippin' Tube
to the outside edges of grass in a few holes to take
the win! Prior to this event, Mark moved into the lead
of the Bass Fan State Farm World angler rankings -
#1 in Columbus, #1 in the world, Beat That!!!
Like we also say - "Why follow the leader, when
YOU can be the Leader!"

KVD Comes up short, but makes a big jump
Columbus,
Mississippi - Kevin VanDam, by far the most awesome
fish catching machine on the B.A.S.S. and FLW tours
came up just shy of winning the Elite 50 on the Tenn-Tomm
waterway in Columbus Mississippi but hey a 1-2 finish
for Team Strike King ain't bad either. "It beats
third," Kevin said as the weigh-in wrapped up.
Kevin caught his fish off wood cover using several
Strike King lures like a Series 4S shallow running
crank bait, a Flippin' Tube and several others. With
this second place finish Kevin takes over the points
lead in the Bass Master Elite 50 series and continues
to get back to his old form before the Classic in July.
Congratulations Kevin, way to go.
*Kevin is now heading back home to Michigan to film
a couple of shows for Strike King's Pro-Team journal
television show on Northern Small mouth. If you are
a small mouth fan, these will be a couple of episodes
not to miss. Check out the Pro-Team Journal air schedule
later this fall for the complete schedule for 2005
and when these shows will air.
