Newton's on a Roll!
Lake
Champlain - Strike King Pro-Staffer Jonathan Newton
from Rogersville, Alabama is flat burning up the water
in the last half of the season. Coming off his 2nd
Career Ever start win a couple weeks ago on Kentucky
Lake, Jonathan fished the FLW Forest Wood Open on Lake
Champlain last week and flat wore the small mouth out. "I'm
tickled to death for Jonathan," says Chris Brown,
Pro-Staff Director for Strike King, "He needed
a couple of good finishes to help finish up the regular
season events and we are all proud of the effort he
has made in these last few tournaments." "I
just can't say enough about Jonathan, he is a great
guy and a heck of fisherman and I can't tell you how
happy I am for Jonathan and his wife Tracy and how
thankful I am that he fishes for Strike King."
Using a Strike King Zulu, Jonathan targeted rocky flats
in 7-8 feet of water to catch his limit each day. He
told bassfan.com ""I didn't do a lot of running
around. I spent most of my time fishing." For
his efforts Jonathan cashed a check for $50,000.
Hey Jonathan, Can you spare me a few bucks? Only kidding.
Congratulations once again to Jonathan Newton, he's
an FLW rookie no more!

of Men West Tennessee AOY Race
Selmer
Tennessee - Strike King Regional Pro-Staffers Jason
Martindale and Keith Amerson show consistency is the
key and patience pays off by winning their second Fishers

years. "We worked hard at each tournament this
year and the good Lord Blessed us by keeping us in
the hunt up until the end." Amerson said.

held a 1-point lead over the second place team. Using
Strike King Titanium Elite Buzz baits, Series 1 and
Series 6 crank baits, they were able to pull off a
4th place finish in the final tournament to lock up
the points race.
Chris Brown, Pro-Staff Director for Strike King commented, "Keith and Jason
have been a part of the Strike King Regional Pro-Staff for almost two years and
in that two years they have been two of the hardest working guys on staff. These
two are excellent representatives for Strike King and all of us here at Strike
King could not be anymore happier and any more proud for them on this accomplishment."
With this behind them, Keith and Jason have qualified
to fish the Fishers of Men National Championship slated
for early next year. Their next stop will
be the Central Regional's in October. Keith will also be fishing the B.A.S.S.
Opens
this fall.
