This buoyant property is even an advantage when Texas rigging because when paused the tail will be more alive and tend to "drift up" like a natural bait does as it feeds on the bottom (Fig. 6) or on a submerged bush or stump.

For example when you pause your retrieve, the 3X Craw will stand up behind your weight and the pinchers will flare up just like a real crayfish! It won’t lay on the bottom like a normal plastic craw will, which is not realistic (Fig. 7).

In fact, one of the greatest applications for 3X is as a jig trailer. A 3X Craw will stand up a Premier Elite Jig and flare out its pinchers and tantalize a fish into biting. You’ve got to see this for yourself (Fig. 8)!

Another Texas Rig trick is to stop you lure and feed some slack line to it. The 3X lure will float up off the bottom behind the weight (Fig. 9)! Such action looks lively and will attract more strikes. Yet another advantage of 3X’s flotation property is that if you break your line the lure and hook will often float up to the surface so you can retrieve and reuse them.

So what does all this mean? Extra fish! Strike King's new 3X line of lures will help you catch more fish. Try them out for yourself and see how the strength, softness, and buoyancy will revolutionize your soft bait fishing.

Note: Do not mix with or store in the same bag with regular soft plastic baits because the two materials will dissolve when stored together. Also, it is best not to store in direct sunlight.
