Editor’s Note: Strike King Pro Kevin VanDam proves once again that he is the most-dominant bass fisherman in midern times. Once again, VanDam took the stage on the final day of the Bassmaster Classic and walked away with thhe top prize. This week we will review the Classic and share more of Strike King at the 2011 Bassmaster Classic.
Part 1: Kevin VanDam - 2011 Bassmaster Classic Champion
Kevin VanDam in convincing fashion pulls off yet another victory by winning the 41st BassMasters Classic and becoming only the second person to win back-to-back Classics and also the second to win four Classic trophies.
Topping the scales with a Classic record 69 pounds 11 ounces for three days, he wins with a margin of over 10 pounds!
The lure Kevin used to win was the KVD 1.5 and 2.5 Square Bill Crankbait in Chartreuse with a black back.
In the last three years KVD has won 3 Angler of the Year Titles, 2 BassMaster Classic Titles, 9 Elite series events and he has set records, tied for wins, and now has amassed over $5 Million in career winnings on the B.A.S.S. side alone.
