Strike King pro Mark Davis highlights some of the best places to fish for bass in November in Zone 3.
With water temperatures in the 70's, Davis suggests looking in a few key places. “Back ends of creeks and ditches or shallow flats are the best places to find fish in November,” says Davis.
If the water is clear, Davis prefers the Tennessee Shad. In stained water, he switches to the Citrus Shad. For muddy water, Davis will favor a Black Back Chartreuse.
The KVD 1.5 is perfect for shallow water, power fishing. The squarebill design and unique “hunting” action will constantly emit erratic movement while still running true.
Davis chooses White in clear water while he opts for Black if the water is stained or muddy.
Swinging Sugar Buzz’s unique design emits a loud clanging sound and features a free-swinging hook design to allow maximum action.
He opts for the Mouse in clear water, and switches to a White if the water is stained.
This can be an ideal choice for covering water quickly on structure-filled flats. It can be worked through vegetation well, bounced off wood cover, and burned just beneath the surface to create a wake.
If the water is clear, he will throw a White, while more stained water calls for a Green Pumpkin. Davis reaches for Black Blue in muddy water.
Changing the game for vibrating jigs, Thunder Cricket has a Jungle-style flipping hook and ultra-stiff, stainless-steel blade for unmistakable movement in the water. Pair it with a Menace Grub trailer and you have the perfect set up.
He opts for Bone in clear water. If the water is stained, he will throw the Chrome Sexy Shad, while he will switch to Black Lab if the water is muddy.
Davis chooses the KVD Sexy Dawg Hard Knock because it’s a premium, “walk-the-dog” topwater lure with great action.
