February Zone 1

Zone 1 – February

Strike King pro Dakota Ebare focuses on the best places to find bass during February in Zone 1.

Ebare expects for the water temperatures to be in the 55- to 65-degree range this month. “This tends to be the coldest month of the year in the South,” says Ebare.

Even with the colder weather, bass are getting geared for spring in Zone 1. “Bass will still start to move from winter transition to pre-spawn,” shares Ebare.  Ebare suggests looking low to find bass in February. “The drains and depressions closer to spawning areas will be key,” states Ebare.
