This morning, 56 anglers will converge on Lake Ouachita (pronounced: Watch-i-tah) to compete for one bass fishing’s biggest prizes, the Forrest Wood Cup. Not only are they vying for the title of Forrest Wood Cup Champion, they are competing for some major coin. $300,000 is what the winner will pocket along with a free entry into the 2019 Cup. There are also tons of dollars and products on the line in the way of contingency program rewards. Long story short, this event is a life changer for the champion.
The rest of the field won’t fare too bad either. 10th place pays $20K. 11th through 20th pays $15K. And 21st through 56th will all receive $10,000. There is a lot of money and resume material on the line.
As always, Strike King is proud to have several of our national level touring pros competing in the event. There 5 to be exact. Here they are:
- MARK ROSE
- CODY MEYER
