Five Best Fall Baits for Fishing the Southeast

When I think about Fall fishing in the Southeast, I think about one thing: Shad. I want all Shad imitating lures. Shad will be migrating to the banks, creeks, the big coves, and the pockets. I want to imitate that. What five baits would I want to do that? Here they are:

STRIKE KING TOUR GRADE SPINNERBAIT

On those windy, cloudy days, when you need that flash to draw in the strike, there is nothing better than the Tour Grade Spinnerbait.

STRIKE KING THUNDER CRICKET

One of my favorite all-time baits is the Thunder Cricket. I love this one when it's bright and sunny. Great for target fishing and fishing in a lot of shade.

STRIKE KING KVD 1.0 CRANKBAIT

This is one that not a lot of people do because we are so used to cranking the KVD 1.5. Man does this thing shine in the fall. I've caught a lot of big fish on this KVD 1.0 Crankbait because this little crankbait is deadly in the Fall.

STRIKE KING SEXY DAWG HARD KNOCK

My favorite way to fish and there is no better time in the year than to fish topwater. The Sexy Dawg Hard Knock is a deadly walking bait that imitates the shad the way you want. That one knock in there seems to trigger fish a little different than what the fish are used to. That different sound will help you catch more big fish.

STRIKE KING SKIP'N BUZZ

Last but not least is the all new Strike King Skip'N Buzz bait. The Fall is by far is the best time to use this. You don't need clouds. You can catch them in the sun and catch them all day long. All you need is a little bit of wind and a Strike King Skip'N Buzz bait. I've got a Rage Swimmer on now but you can use a Rage Toad or anything like that. You will catch a lot of fish.
