Strike King pro Todd Faircloth shares his favorite fishing spot in Zone 2 during July.
“In Zone 2 in July, mostly all of the fish are in their typical summertime routine,” Faircloth says. With water temperatures in the 90’s, Faircloth has a few key areas that he recommends. “Fish will be relating to the outside edge grass lines. They will also be relating to offshore humps and ridges that have stumps and brush piles,” shares Faircloth. But for Faircloth, there is one location that he feels is the most productive during July – main lake. “I like to concentrate my efforts fishing the main lake at this time,” he concludes.
If the water is clear, Faircloth prefers Red Bug. In stained water, he switches to June Bug. For muddy water, Faircloth will favor Black Blue Flake.
